Irish should be ranked for a while with easy schedule ahead

SOUTH BEND, IN.–After a 38-18 victory over the Spartans, Notre Dame found themselves ranked at #22 in the latest AP Rankings. This comes after a 3-1 start to 2017. The chances for the Irish being ranked for longer than a week is pretty good.

Against two teams they have played, Notre Dame nearly beat Georgia and crushed the Spartans. The NCAA decided to have the Irish ranked and they should be in the Top-25 for a while with an easy schedule ahead.

The next two weeks make up mediocre teams, Miami (OH) and North Carolina. On October 21st, they face a tough test against USC. Worst case scenario if they were to lose they should be a 5-2 team. The following two weeks are also soft opponents in North Carolina State and Wake Forest.

If Notre Dame plays like they should this year, they can finish 7-4 or 8-3. If this happens a bowl game is in place for the Fighting Irish.
