Purdue lands a four-star basketball recruit!

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN.– Just because recruited big men like Caleb Swanigan and A.J. Hammons went to the pros doesn’t mean the Boilermakers aren’t done recruiting. In fact, they have just got a commitment from four-star center Emmanuel Dowuona.

Dowunona joins fellow four-star prospect Trevion Williams in 2018. Tennessee, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Miami, UConn, and others were in the process of trying to land him.

Dowuona played for the Team Breakdown program on the Under Armour Association circuit during the summer, averaging 7.9 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game while shooting 59.3 percent from the field.

Looks like Matt Painter and Purdue really want talented big men on their roster. I don’t blame them as guys like Swanigan and Hammons have reached the NBA in a few short years.

Dowunona was also ranked in ESPN’s Top-100 list.
